Guys, wanna tell/ask Fukuda anything?
I’m planning to tweet him again and make him know once and for all that there are thousands of Asucaga fans waiting for an answer. Anything you’d like me to relay to him? :)
Holy crap, another reason I wish I could read/write Japanese— heck yes I have questions!!
First, tell him there needs to be a Gundam Seed “Eternity” AKA GS3 because they really need to fix the mess they made of Athrun and Cagalli in GSD. Also, ask him to kill Meyrin in a battle, just to be sure there’s no more rumors of her and Athrun.
But if he doesn’t want to listen to my advice and make a sequel, just ask him if Athrun ended up with Cagalli so that the rumors can be cleared. And if he plans to make a movie for the remastered version. Or if the GSD remastered has an ending to satisfy us AsuCaga fans.
Better yet, ask him to do something about those GS/D remastered box sets because I can’t afford the 200-400 price tag on each boxset! Tell him if he lowers it to $400 for the complete seasons that I would buy both seasons! Or something, I just want it really bad but that price is just ridiculous. It would sell better if it wasnt so expensive!

LOL, it’s okay, I’M 28!!!! and I’m heartbroken over it too! haha!! I think Athrun’s decision to be an admiral for Orb would probably have more to do with the fact that Orb is a powerful country, often at the forefront of war events, and that it’s the best place for him to be in order to defend his cause. that being said, I hope VERY MUCH that that part where Athrun says “it’s okay, we don’t need to rush things, we both have the same dream”…I really HOPE he was referring to his relationship with Cagalli. Like you, it makes no sense to me that Athrun would be with anyone else but Cagalli. Please do me a favor and check out the picture I posted. I am hoping to start a prayer/action chain for Athrun and Cagalli with the hopes that it will influence Mitsuo Fukuda. I’ll let you know if I find any of that proof. Thanks for re-blogging.
First of all, thank you for following my blog!!! But I don’t think that Athrun wearing an Orb uniform is any kind of proof that he and Cagalli are back in a relationship. Even if he’s an admiral in Orb’s military, and living in Orb, that doesn’t necessarily mean that they’re in a relationship :)

I don’t know if you found your proof yet or not but not only was there the hug scene for them but there was also an alternate ending that has Athrun going to the plants to see Lacus (with Kira) and he is wearing the Orb uniform. Where as Meyrin is still wearing Zaft so rest assured that Athrun and Cagalli are together in the end. I think what happened was the producers planned on a movie to finalize everything but it was cancelled so it was left with a mess. (credit to fyeahasucaga for that idea)

…and I think you have to consider what other reason would Athrun have to be there? He only went to Orb to be with Cagalli to begin with and he had no reason to go back, especially after joining Zaft again. Plus if he did end up with Meyrin (which was the big speculation after the end) he wouldn’t leave Zaft since that is where she stayed. Athrun mentioned to Kira after seeing her take off his ring that they (Cagalli and Athrun) didnt need to rush things because they share the same dreams. I understand wanting solid proof from the producers about them staying together because after I finished the series I was heartbroken and had a huge hole from not having closure for them. (I know, 21 year old that is heartbroken from an anime couple… sad) but the more I searched about it and analyzed it the more I realize the producers just really screwed up their ending and made it really unclear out of pure laziness. (or maybe lack of funding because the series had such a negative view from the audience). You just have to piece together that Athrun would have no desire to be in Orb unless it was for Cagalli.
Either way though if you find the proof Id love to see it too. I heard they will be having 3 new endings for Destiny on the Gundam Seed Destiny Remastered version. Im pretty confident that they will clear up that mess in one of those endings.Haha, well 28 isn’t so bad! I’m catching up, I’ll be 22 on the 14th of this month. =P
Anyway, Athrun doesn’t have all that much of an influence in Orb and that is why he felt so useless being there. I suppose if he was an Admiral it would make a difference but I don’t see him putting Cagalli through the pain of being around him all the time after what they went through and of course still being in love with each other. If Athrun wanted to put himself in a position where he could make the greatest difference it would be returning to the plants, as the son of Chairman Zala he would be more influential there. Oh well, either way, we will find out for sure in GSD Remastered I believe. Too bad that crap costs a fortune and I can’t afford that with a baby on the way! >.<
I saw your post and I do plan to respond to it but It will have to wait till my next day off, I have to work at 5 am tomorrow so I need to get some beauty sleep haha.

Some things are unforgivable even for you huh!?! Why don’t you try putting yourself in Cagalli’s shoes?? She loves you but are you honestly that selfish?? SHE NURSED YOU WHEN YOU CAME BACK TO ARCHANGEL AND YOU ACT LIKE SHE’S NOT THERE AND THEN YOU WONDER WHY SHE’S NOT WEARING THE RING. …
Hahah, I had this same rant when I finished watching. Don’t worry, they aren’t that stupid to ruin AsuCaga. Athrun is with Cagalli in the end, the producers realized they royally F’d up and tried to fix it adding the hug scene and showing Athrun in an Orb uniform in the alternate ending. We can only hope the 3 new ending in GSD Remastered will clarify the mess even more.
